NRS PROTOCOL OFFICERS URGED TO APPLY NEW SKILLS TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Chief Executive Officer of the Platinum Protocol and Verity Consultants Limited, Ambassador Ibrahim Mohammed Bashir OFR has charged senior officers of the protocol division of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) to put their training into practice and help reposition the division for better service delivery.
The Chief Executive Officer of the consulting firm made the remark at the close of a 5- day workshop for senior protocol officers of NRS held in Ibadan.
Ambassador Ibrahim Mohammed Bashir expressed appreciation to the executive Chairman of NRS Dr Zacch Adedeji for approving the training noting that it was designed to build capacity at the senior level of the division.
The Ambassador presented certificate of attendance to all the participants and urged them to guard them jealously.
A senior consultant of the Platinum Protocol and Verity, Ambassador Mustapha Suleiman, as he delivers the closing remarks,reminded participants that they were trained by one of the foremost protocol consulting firms, whose depth of experience and expertise would add significant value to their work.
“You have been equipped by the best in the field. The knowledge you have gained here should not end in this Hall,” he said. “I urge you to make full use of what you have learnt and change the narrative in the Protocol division.”
Ambassador Mustapha Suleiman said the expectation of the management is to see improved professionalism, efficiency and decorum in the way protocol duties are carried out going forward.
In a vote of thanks at the workshop on behalf of participants , Ezeji Comfort Nwabundo commended the management of NRS for organizing the comprehensive training aimed at strenthenig professionalism and service delivery.
Nwabundo expressed appreciation to the Almighty God for the successful completion of the training in good health and high spirits.
Nwabundo said the training demonstrated the organization’s “unwavering commitment to building a highly skilled, professional, and service-oriented workforce.”
She also thanked the facilitators for sharing their wealth of knowledge and practical insights. According to her, participants were taken through key areas including the fundamentals of protocol, order of precedence and its application, protocol etiquette, planning and management of VIP visits, ceremonies, proper use of flags and logos, synergy among protocol officers, security and media relations, logistics and convoy management, seating arrangements, as well as dining etiquette and table setting.
“The training has been both practical and enlightening, and we are leaving better equipped to carry out our responsibilities with greater professionalism, confidence, and attention to detail,” she said.
On behalf of her colleagues, Nwabundo assured the NRS management that the knowledge and skills acquired would be put into practice in their daily duties to enhance the Service’s image and operations.
She further extended her appreciation to the consultants, NRS management, and all who contributed to the success of the programme, and prayed for God’s guidance and safe journeys for all participants to their respective destinations.
